Giants WR Hakeem Nicks was worried about re-injuring his hamstring in Week 10.

“I’m not going to lie, I went into the game praying, ‘God, please let me make it out of this game healthy,’” Nicks said today after he and a few teammates delivered turkeys to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside. “I did, and it was all good.”

Nicks believes a big part of the reason was his legs were looser than in previous games, due to a longer warmup routine. He began with three laps around the field, stretched, did some “build-up” runs of increasing distance, stretched again and then caught passes from Eli Manning.

“They wanted to make sure I broke a nice sweat. I made sure I did,” said Nicks, who was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. “I think I’m going to do the same thing this week.”

And perhaps beyond — injured or not.

“It’s probably going to be my regular routine from here on out,” he said.
