Cleveland Browns tight end Ben Watson, recently placed on injured reserve after suffering his third concussion of the season, assured fans he will be back in 2012 for his ninth NFL season.
"I'm looking forward to coming back and continuing to play," Watson said. "I wish the guys the best of luck the rest of the season. I wish I could be with them."
Watson, who also had a concussion when he was with the Patriots, said he's not considering quitting football because doctors haven't advised him to do so. He visited with a neurologist Wednesday.
"It would be one thing if a doctor said, 'Benjamin, you shouldn't play football again,' " said Watson. "But that has never come up in conversation. I'm nowhere near that point."
