Newark Star Ledger: Jets QB Brett Favre responded to comments made
by Laveranues Coles last week to Bay area reporters that he felt
underutilized this season. Coles' comments - which were also
critical of Favre - appeared to be taken out of context.
Regardless, Favre didn't harbor any ill feelings toward the wide
receiver. ne receiver that thinks, 'Okay, the 5 passes you threw
to me this week were plenty,'" Favre joked. "He's a competitor. He
knows where I stand. I know where he stands. I've got no problems
with Laveranues at all. None. I'm doing my best to get him the
ball." "He knows that there's no personal vendetta towards him
(by) me," Favre added. "Laveranues is one of those (guys) who will
tell you what he feels or what he doesn't feel and without
thinking. Is that a knock against him? No. That's just the way he
is. That's what makes him special." Favre didn't give away this
week's game plan, but it looks like Coles -- who has just three
catches for 7 yards in the past two games -- will be more
involved.
