Vince Young has revealed that the emotional ordeal surrounding the 2008 season opener in which he was booed at LP Field caused him to consider quitting football, a sentiment he had previously denied after similar situations in his three-year NFL career.
I was to the point where man, I didn't really want to play no more because of the fact that I was that hurt," Young told ESPN's E:60 in an interview that will air on this morning's 9 a.m. edition of SportsCenter. "I was that hurt from the boos and all the different things that were going on. It was just so much for me — I didn't want to play no more."
The comments are the latest in recent weeks from Young, the No. 3 pick of the 2006 NFL Draft and former Titans starting quarterback.
