Source: Cribbs won't play without new deal

Browns receiver Josh Cribbs plans to report to training camp on time Friday, but is adamant he won't play a regular season game without a new contract or significant progress towards one, a source close to the situation said Monday. Cribbs' agent, J.R. Rickert, will come to Cleveland this week, most likely on Thursday, to try to get things moving, the source said.
Cribbs hopes that by showing up for training camp, which opens to the public with two practices on Saturday, the team will realize how committed he is and show a willingness to negotiate.
