New Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer sounds excited about the team’s potential mix at tight end. “I know one thing, Starting with [Lance Kendricks], we really liked Lance back in New York when we looked at him,” Schottenheimer said at the team’s mandatory minicamp. “I think he’s got a chance to be a terrific all-around player."
There was some hype surrounding Kendricks in 2011. As a rookie, he was the #21 TE taken in fantasy drafts, but only mustered 28 catches for 352 yards, and failed to catch a TD. Given the depth at the position, we're not terribly optimistic about his prospects in 2012, but he could surprise if the Rams offense takes a big step forward.
