Frazier: Adrian Peterson "on pace" and "optimistic" to play Week 1

Vikings HC Leslie Frazier on RB Adrian Peterson: Have talked thru scenarios. So far he's on pace, optimistic to play in home opener. Not sure on training camp.

Fantasy Impact:

If he were to play in Week 1, he would only be about 9 months removed from ACL surgery. No RB has returned to form after tearing his ACL in that timeframe, so we're skeptical. Those owners who decide to roll the dice on Peterson will need to be sure to draft Toby Gerhart as a handcuff.

Per Bears head coach Matt Eberflus: Ryan Bates remains in the concussion protocol. Elijah Hicks (ankle) and D'Andre Swift (groin) won't practice.

Teven Jenkins will be limited.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on, as Johnson would have a huge workload if Swift were to miss Week 12. Homer has three rush attempts and zero targets on the year.
