The Palm Beach Post reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Saturday that he’s hearing David Garrard has the early advantage in the battle for the starting quarterback job.

As for rookie Ryan Tannehill, he’s not in the running right now due to his untimely mistakes, particularly when throwing into traffic. Coach Joe Philbin and his staff have made it clear that turnovers will not be tolerated, so for now at least Tannehill will continue his apprenticeship as the No. 3 guy.

Fantasy Impact:

No matter who wins the job, don't expect them to be ranked too high on our QB board, and chances are they won't even get drafted. But the key thing to note here is it sounds like Tannehill has some work to do before moving up the depth charts and having fantasy value.

Keenan Allen is questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited on Friday, his first day on the participation report.

Separate reports called Swift "very likely" to play, but this is seemingly a new issue for Allen.

If Keenan were to miss Week 12, it would boost the floor of all pass-catchers, namely Moore, Oduzne, and Cole Kmet. Moore + Odunze would sneak closer to WR2 territory than their low-end WR3 designations they have with a healthy Allen.

Lamb (back/foot) was limited in a walkthrough on Wednesday and missed practice on Thursday.
