The Patriots may well end up as a pass-heavy offense again in 2012, but that doesn’t diminish the need for a capable running game too.
The team focused in on the run during much of Monday’s morning practice, with Stevan Ridley looking like the top horse. Ridley can skate to the perimeter and also chunk up yards up the middle, while Danny Woodhead projects to hold down the team’s change of pace back role.
We have Ridley available in the ninth round and have him as a low-end RB3 for your team, but he's climbing our charts. You never know what you're going to get from a Patriot running back due to the amount of times they throw the ball, so right now don't draft him as an every week starter. But, he may emerge and could present you with nice value at that point in the draft.
