GM Kevin Colbert told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall might be ready to contribute by Week 5 of the regular season.

“Whether he plays in those first six weeks we don’t know,” Colbert said. “But obviously we feel there’s a chance that could happen. Be it Week 5 or Week 6, that could be a difference.”
