Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith, who at some point during the weekend suffered a foot infection, will not play Sunday. HC Ron Rivera said if this were the regular season, Smith would officially be ruled as "out."

Smith was still on crutches Friday after first being seen on them Wednesday after a doctor's visit. He's been on antibiotics and the team is monitoring the swelling.
