Fred Davis's quiet preseason explained

Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis said he feels better prepared for the season opener after making two catches in Saturday’s preseason game against Indianapolis.

Davis hadn’t been targeted in the first two preseason outings. Instead, the Redskins gave converted tight end Niles Paul the bulk of the playmaking opportunities at the position.

Davis had said he understood the reason for his inactivity, but that he was struggling to be patient.

He finally got his chances Saturday. On his longest gain, Davis made a catch, broke a tackle and picked up 11 yards.

Fantasy Impact:

This explains why Davis has had such a quiet preseason. His ADP is in the 7th or 8th round and he's not a bad pick there given this news.
