Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte will be a game-time decision to play against the Dallas Cowboys on "Monday Night Football," coach Lovie Smith said Monday morning.
Forte left a Sept. 13 loss to the Green Bay Packers with a sprained ankle and then missed last week's victory over the St. Louis Rams. He participated in Saturday's workout after being limited in practice the previous three days.
"It's a game-time decision for Matt. He's made a lot of progress," Smith said on WBBM-AM 780. "We'll get over to the stadium, see how he does then and decide."
If Forte can't go, Michael Bush is expected to start in his place. Smith did take a hit to his shoulder against the Rams but isn't expected to be limited if Forte doesn't play.
