Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks will miss his third straight game this week.
The team ruled Nicks out for the Browns game with foot and knee injuries. Nicks broke a bone in his foot during the offseason and has been managing soreness, but last week his knee also became an issue. Nicks banged his knee on the turf against the Buccaneers in Week 2 -- the last game he played -- and had swelling when he tried to practice last week.
Coach Tom Coughlin said there has been no re-injury to Nicks foot, but the soreness in both areas is keeping him out. Coughlin did add that the swelling in Nicks' knee is down.
Ramses Barden (concussion) also has not practiced this week, adding to the injury concerns at the receiver position.
Whether or not Barden is out, Domenik Hixon will be a good start against the Browns, who are still missing Joe Haden (suspension). Hixon caught six passes for 115 yards against the Eagles in Week 4.
