Reggie Bush’s quest to lead the league in rushing has taken a hit after being held in check for the fourth consecutive game. Bush managed just 17 yards on 12 carries, and the Dolphins as a team had 19 total rushing yards — the fourth-lowest output in team history.
“They were getting off blocks, and I have to do a better job running the football and hitting holes,” Bush said. “This might be the worst performance I’ve had today, so I have to do a lot better.”
Here’s a sign of how hard yards were to come by on the ground: The Dolphins’ second-leading rusher was a safety. Chris Clemons’ run on a fake punt was good for 3 yards. No other Dolphins player finished with in the plus side of zero Sunday.
Bush also has a banged up knee, but didn't blame his injury for his performance. He did have five catches for 44 yards.
