Patriots receiver Wes Welker left Sunday’s win over the Rams in the fourth quarter with a left ankle injury and didn’t return. He answered questions from reporters afterward, and naturally the ankle was a topic of discussion.
Welker was asked if the ankle would be OK.
“Yeah, I think so,” he answered. “We’ll see. We’ll evaluate it in the morning. It’s hard to tell right after it happens. We’ll evaluate it as the week goes on.”
Fantasy Impact:
The Patriots are on bye next week so unless the sprain is of the high ankle variety, he should be fine for Week 10.
