Denver RB Ronnie Hillman (5-10, 190) has been listed as the top backup to Willis McGahee and likely will get the first call Sunday in the Broncos' game at Kansas City.
The rookie from San Diego State, a third-round pick in the 2012 draft, might be the Broncos' quickest and fastest running back. He ranks second on the team in rushing (188 yards on 49 carries) and has yet to lose a fumble as a pro.
This is the Denver Post speculating, but the story pointed out how pass blocking is the key to whichever running back gets on the field most. Head coach John Fox called Hillman "feisty" in pass protection for a smaller guy, leading the Post to believe Hillman will get the first chance to carry the load in replacing McGahee. McGahee is likely out for the rest of the regular season so fantasy owners should pay attention.
