Packers WR Greg Jennings figures that after missing the last seven games because of the abdominal injury that eventually required surgery, he might not get his regular workload when he returns Sunday.
But if were up to him, there would be no restrictions.
“Obviously they’re probably going to err on the side of gradually implementing me in there,” Jennings said. “If I had a say, I would just say just let me go. I’m good. There’s no need for that. But I can’t control that part of it. When my number gets called, I’m going to be ready to go.”
If it were up to Jennings, he would have played last Sunday against the Giants. He returned to practice last week, less than three weeks after his Nov. 1 surgery. But McCarthy held him back in part because he wanted to make sure Jennings’ conditioning would allow him to make it through an entire game.
Jennings wil likely be on a snap count as the team remains cautious. The Packers are stacked at WR, so there is no reason to rush him back.
