Over the past two games, the Indianapolis Colts offense has been in descent.

It managed just 272 total yards in last Sunday's loss at Houston after being held to a season-low 269 yards the previous week against Tennessee.

The pressure on rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, meanwhile, has been spiking. He has been sacked nine times, hit another 19 times and vacated the pocket on a scramble or to buy time to throw on a few occasions.

Interim HC Bruce Arians is always on the prowl for big plays in the passing game. He calls them "chunk" plays. That means deeper drops and the quarterback holding the ball a tad longer to allow the routes to develop. A downside to that aggressiveness comes when it's compromised by erratic protection.
