Browns QBs Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy didn’t practice again today with shoulder sprains suffered Sunday in the loss to the Broncos. Running back Trent Richardson also remained sidelined with an ankle sprain. Coach Pat Shurmur didn’t rule them out for the finale Sunday in Pittsburgh, but said if he knows they can’t play he will make the announcement before gameday, likely Friday.
Offensive coordinator Brad Childress said Richardson could be a “spot player” this week behind Montario Hardesty if he’s cleared to play. Richardson, who broke Jim Brown’s team rookie rushing record last week, is 50 yards shy of the 1,000-yard milestone.
All Browns players should be hands off in Week 17 as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
