Dallas signs Tony Romo to a six-year extension

The Dallas Cowboys are taking care of quarterback Tony Romo.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the Cowboys and Romo have agreed to a six-year, $108 million contract extension with $55 million in guarantees, according to a source involved in the process. The deal makes Romo the highest-paid player in franchise history.

The Cowboys had been talking with Romo's camp off and on after hoping to ink the 32-year-old passer to an extension last summer.

Fantasy Impact:

This is good news for the Dallas receiving corps -- namely Dez Bryant, Miles Austin and Jason Witten. Given all the depth at QB, Romo figures to be available in the 7th or 8th round in fantasy drafts. Current drafts have him going 8.04, so he should represent good value as the 11th or 12th QB off the board. On a per game basis, Romo has finished in the top 12 in six straight seasons.
