When Jaguars HC Gus Bradley was asked if he’s found any playmakers, he said, “I like Cecil Shorts.” He then laughed and said, “Put it down. I’m a good evaluator.”
Shorts was an obvious pick because he has been a standout in camp.
Fantasy Impact:
Shorts' value is depressed due to the woeful QB situation in Jacksonville, but he would get a boost if Chad Henne were to win the starting job. Shorts played in four of Henne's six starts towards the end of the season and averaged 5.8 catches for 84 yards and 0.50 TD. Those are fantasy WR1 numbers.
