Bears TE Martellus Bennett has expressed that he's hungry to have a leading role in an offense and he finally emerged when he escaped the vast shadow of Jason Witten in Dallas and spent one season with the Giants, catching 55 passes for 626 yards and five touchdowns, all career bests.

The Bears believe Bennett is one of the better multidimensional tight ends in the league, meaning he's adept at blocking as well. That's a craft he had to master while Witten was getting most of the passes in the Cowboys offense. At 6-5, 265 pounds, he gives Cutler a big target in the middle of the field and, as importantly, in the red zone.

Fantasy Impact:

The story goes on to say that Bennett should be able to match the numbers he put up in New York, but perhaps approach double-digits in TDs. We're not quite as excited about Bennett, predicting about four TDs, but admit there is some potential there. Right now we rank him 19th among TEs which is just TE2 material. He should be available late in drafts.
