Beat: Geno Smith "unlikely" to start Week 1

Jets QB Geno Smith thrived with quick, short passes in college — one of the staples in Mornhinweg’s offense, too — but it’s unlikely that the rookie will be ready to be the Week 1 starter. He’s still working to improve his drop backs after spending the majority of his career at West Virginia in the shotgun.
