Eddie Lacy shines in scrimmage

Running back Eddie Lacy showed the Green Bay Packers everything they hoped to see and more Saturday night at Lambeau Field.

The muscular big back from Alabama was the standout in the annual intrasquad scrimmage before a record crowd of 63,047 at the expanded 80,750-seat venue on a perfect night for football.

Lacy, a second-round draft choice, had been impressive in the first week of training camp but that was in "thud" situations, not live tackling.

He's the kind of ball carrier who should look much better with full contact, and he certainly didn't disappoint.

Fantasy Impact:

In total, Lacy carried the ball eight times for 65 yards. We believe he holds the most value in the Green Bay backfield, but until the depth chart shakes out, he's only going to hold 5th/6th round value.
