Doug Martin leaves game after apparent head injury

Buccaneers RB Doug Martin left Friday night's preseason game against the New England Patriots with an apparent head injury, and the Bucs said his return is questionable.

Martin took a knee to the helmet while in pass protection. He subsequently was examined on the sideline, then taken to the locker room.

Fantasy Impact:

Stay tuned for more details. We wouldn't shy away from Martin in the first round, but this is something to monitor over the next few days.

The Saints officially listed QB Derek Carr (left hand/concussion) as doubtful for Sunday vs. Washington. Jake Haener will make his first NFL start.

RB Alvin Kamara (illness) is off the injury report and good to go.

It would have been an easy click for a Kendre Miller week if Kamara were forced to miss, but this puts the kibosh on that. Fire Kamara up as an RB2 this week in a game that may feature him even more than usual with no Carr.
