Packers WR Jordy Nelson has been going inside the Don Hutson Center during training camp practice and working out on the indoor field for the past couple days as he recovers from arthroscopic knee surgery performed two weeks ago.
Nelson wouldn't say exactly what the procedure consisted of, but he said he was able to run much faster than one would expect after surgery and is "on schedule" as far as the doctors are concerned.
"Our main goal is San Fran," Nelson said. "And that’s just a goal. You never know what could happen. We’ll just continue to go day by day."
The story mentions reports saying it was nerve tissue. If he's not ready Week 1, it looks like he'd be a go soon after that at least. We had Nelson on par with Randall Cobb this year, only Nelson was falling a round or so lower in drafts than Cobb. He's certainly still worth drafting.
