Bucs head coach Greg Schiano had this to say about running back Doug Martin:
“Doug Martin is doing well. He was out there today, he practiced. [We were] precautionary, we didn’t hit him, but he could have been [hit] if we wanted, just figured it wasn’t worth it right now. He got all of his work without getting touched which is a little bit more like in-season practice for him today.”
Good news for Martin, who scared owners and potential owners in week 2 of the preseason with a knee to his head trying to block. Martin is considered a top-three running back in just about any format this draft season, especially with not a lot of proven talent behind him to steal work.
