His numbers weren’t exactly gaudy, but there’s a reason you should be excited about what the Colts got out of running back Ahmad Bradshaw on Sunday against the Dolphins.
Bradshaw finished with 65 yards on 15 carries, an average of 4.3 yards per carry. There wasn’t anything particularly memorable about it all, and Bradshaw’s longest run was a mere nine yards.
Still, Bradshaw’s performance was one of the highlights from a game that ultimately was a frustrating loss for the Colts.
The Indy Star is impressed with Bradshaw with the many offseason questions coming in about him, especially his foot. But they felt Bradshaw was rather impressive on the whole, and the Colts can feel a bit of relief because of it. After Vick Ballard’s freak season-ending injury last week, the depth at running back took a major hit.
