Kenny Britt stood his ground on Wednesday.

The Titans wide receiver defended his latest social-media comment and his effort as a player. He bristled at the suggestion he’s selfish. He said he’d love to play for the Titans next year.

At this early stage of the season there’s little reason to believe the Titans would want him back, however. So for now the team and the fifth-year pro, in the final year of his contract, must make the best of an awkward situation.

“I have no problem with Kenny. He is fine. He is working hard. He is part of our football team and he is going to help us win on Sunday,” coach Mike Munchak said. “We are fine going forward.”

Fantasy Impact:

Britt's stock continues to decline. He's merely a bench stash to see if he can get things going. He's something of a head case and plays with a very shaky QB in a run heavy offense. There's not a lot to like here.
