Browns QB Brandon Weeden knows that he's not guaranteed his starting job when he's 100% healthy, which could be as early as next week.

"You know, at this point where we're at, that's out of my control,'' he said. "My focus is making sure this thumb continues to make the steps that allow me to get back and be 100 percent. There's no reason to rush back and get to where I'm not completely healthy, so my main goal is getting healthy and whenever I am, than I'll sit down with Chud and we'll go from there."

HC Rob Chudzinski said he talked to Weeden and explained the situation -- that he'll evaluate the quarterback situation on a week-to-week basis and play whoever gives him the best chance to win.

Fantasy Impact:

The Browns made it known in the offseason they really like Brian Hoyer, so much that he jumped from third on the depth chart to starter over Jason Campbell last week. Another solid performance by Hoyer this week could mean Weeden stays on the bench. The return of WR Josh Gordon certainly helped Hoyer's performance.
