While Doug Baldwin is usually used in the slot, he is listed as Sidney Rice’s backup at the “Z’’ (or outside receiver) position and has lined up there regularly throughout his career.
And it is Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse who are expected to get the first call at filling in for Rice when the Seahawks host Tampa Bay on Sunday.
“You’ll see those guys out there quite often,’’ said Seattle offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.
USA Today's Lindsay Jones said on Twitter: "Pete Carroll didn't have media availability today in Seattle, but he told Sirius that Percy Harvin won't play this week vs. Tampa."
In 23 games where Doug Baldwin has seen 4+ targets, he has averaged 3.8-53-.26 (WR4 numbers). In 15 games with 5+ targets he has posted 4.4-63-.40 (WR3 numbers). He's a low-end WR3 this week in most formats.
