CLE: Edwards hopes to benefit from QB change

One player who might benefit from the quarterback change is WR Braylon Edwards. He and Anderson hooked up for 16 touchdown passes in 2007 -- a Browns record for a receiver.
"You know DA. He's a guy who likes to throw the deep ball, likes to get the ball out," Edwards said. "I like to run deep routes, so it's natural he'd look for me in those situations."
Mangini hoped QB Derek Anderson could spark the Browns in Baltimore when they were down at halftime, 20-0. Despite three interceptions in the second half, Anderson's ability to convert three of four third downs on the Browns' lone scoring drive convinced Mangini to make the move this week.
