Since tearing through Cincinnati’s defense for 103 yards on 13 attempts, the Green Bay Packers’ other rookie running back, Johnathan Franklin, has a whopping six carries in seven games. He's only played two total snaps from the scrimmage the last four games. The team has said, practically weekly, that it’d like to get Franklin and James Starks involved more. Fumbles earlier in the season didn’t help Franklin’s cause.
But this week, running backs coach Alex Van Pelt maintained that the 5-foot-10, 205-pound fourth-rounder Franklin would get another shot at some point. He could offer a different dimension.
If you're a Franklin owner, he may have some future value, but for now, Eddie Lacy is the clear RB1 in the Pack's offense. Franklin's body type is different from that of Lacy and Starks, so it's possible Franklin could be a change-of-pace guy in upcoming games, but his fantasy value will still be limited in your typical league.
