The season is over for Cecil Shorts.
One day after Jaguars coach Gus Bradley told reporters the team was "seriously" considering shutting down the wide receiver, Jacksonville reportedly will ship Shorts to injured reserve on Tuesday, according to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union.
It marks the end of a productive third-year campaign for Shorts, who hauled in a team-leading 66 catches for 777 yards and three scores in 13 games before a nagging groin injury sidelined him.
Fantasy Impact:
Mike Brown and Ace Sanders will be the Jags receivers the rest of the way. That includes this week's matchup against a pretty tough Tennessee passing defense.
