Victor Cruz was back at the Giants’ practice facility ...

Victor Cruz was back at the Giants’ practice facility Friday afternoon, walking the hall outside the locker room while his teammates were at practice. He maintained that he expected to be ready for offseason training sessions and estimated that his timetable to rehabilitate from minor surgery on his left knee would take 6-8 weeks.

Still, he was already planning on spending more time with quarterback Eli Manning and his fellow receivers to repair what Cruz called a “disconnect” this year.

“I want to make it a point to get with Eli a little bit more, get with our quarterbacks a little bit more and get the receiving corps together as much as we can to kind of build that more,” Cruz said.

Fantasy Impact:

Cruz was limited to four touchdowns, Hakeem Nicks has yet to catch a touchdown pass and Manning has thrown 26 interceptions through 15 games. Cruz missed part of his offseason workouts with Manning because of his contract negotiations, but vowed to get back on the same page as Manning and the others in the coming months. He will be deliberate in how he approaches his recovery, as well, the story pointed out.
