The Titans have made plenty of changes this offseason, but it’s become clear that the starting quarterback position is Jake Locker’s job to lose.

He still has a ways to go in his recovery from the surgery he had shortly after suffering the Lisfranc injury in a Nov. 10 game against the Jaguars.

Locker’s right leg was placed in a cast after surgery. He discarded his crutches in January and his foot was placed in a walking boot, which he must wear for a few more weeks. He still can’t put any weight on the foot.

Later this month, he’ll have a procedure to remove the hardware that was inserted during surgery. He hopes to start running shortly thereafter and take part in organized team activities in June. Doctors have been “encouraged” with his recovery, Locker said.
