Maurice Jones-Drew signs with Raiders

Maurice Jones-Drew has agreed to terms on a contract with the Raiders, according to a report late Thursday night by CSN Bay Area.

Jones-Drew, according to the report, is scheduled to have a physical on Friday morning. The report, citing two unnamed league sources, said a contract will be signed later in the day if no issues arise.

Jones-Drew, a De La Salle product, gives the Raiders a viable option in case oft-injured Darren McFadden stumbles.

Fantasy Impact:

Jones-Drew has been more durable and reliable than McFadden. He's missed just 14 games during his nine-year NFL career - 10 of those came in 2012 as a result of a foot injury, the story points out. But from a fantasy prospective, this makes the RB situation a bit of a mess in Oakland, because it's hard to imagine one taking on a pure backup role.
