The Giants quarterback is learning a new playbook for the first time since his rookie season and underwent the first significant surgery of his career earlier this month. And for the first time since he became involved with the March of Dimes' annual March for Babies event, Manning was unable to participate in the 3.5-mile walk that began on the upper West Side.
Manning still served as the New York Celebrity Chairman of the event. He even did it without the boot that protected his surgically repaired left ankle earlier in the week.
Manning needs to get healthy quickly so he can fully digest and practice his new offense. For more on how he'll fit into Ben McAdoo's offense, click here.
