Raiders WR Chaz Schilens went through drills and warmups and was in the regular rotation catching passes during the first phase of offense Wednesday, a strong indication he could be active when the Raiders host the Philadelphia Eagles.
Schilens has been out eight weeks with a broken fifth metatarsal. In the meantime, the Raiders wide receivers have been the least productive in the NFL, combining for 15 receptions (Louis Murphy 11, Todd Watkins 3, Darrius Heyward-bey 2) for 258 yards (Murphy 174, Watkins 46, Heyward-Bey 36).
In the lone preseason game in which he played, Schilens was targeted five times against Dallas and caught five passes _ all in the first quarter. He also drew a penalty for pass interference.
By contrast, Heyward-Bey has been targeted 20 times and has caught two passes.
