Texans RB Arian Foster missed preseason because the Texans wanted to protect him from injury. He underwent season-ending back surgery in 2013.
Asked how he felt, Foster said, “Wonderful, physically.
“I’m excited about that (Sunday’s regular-season opener against Washington). I can’t wait to play football.”
Foster said he has something to prove to himself after missing half of last season.
“I’ve been like that since I’ve been in the NFL,” he said. “I’ve had to prove to myself I could play in this league. That’s part of the reason you keep that chip on your shoulder because you remember the days when you had your doubts.”
Foster comes with a lot of risk, but seems to be doing fine leading up to the opener. He starts off the season ranked seventh on our list for Week 1 backs. It's a juicy matchup against the Redskins defense that ranked 29th last year in giving up fantasy points to RBs.
