The most promising aspect of receiver Mike Wallace’s second season debut for Miami was that he had seven catches for 81 yards and a touchdown in a game where he could’ve done more. Wallace could have gone for 100 yards and two touchdowns and he knows it. On Wednesday he took responsibility for not keeping both feet in-bounds on a corner end zone catch.
“I could’ve made some more plays,” he said. Wallace said he’s enjoying the offense a lot more than a year ago. In fact, he used the word “fun” three times in one sentence.
“It’s fun, man,” he said. “It’s definitely fun out there just moving around, being on both sides of the ball — slot, outside. It’s fun. It’s going to be an interesting year.”
Wallace's 7-81-1 was a good start for a receiver who had a somewhat disappointing season in his first year in Miami. He has a nice matchup this week with the Bills, and is currently our #20 receiver in standard formats.
