Saints running back Mark Ingram is expected to be out for a month, according to ESPN.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Ingram's expected absence on Twitter late Monday morning.
"Saints RB Mark Ingram is expected to miss about a month with a hand injury he suffered Sunday, per source," Schefter wrote on Twitter.
Ingram has had two strong games for the Saints and was one of the bright spots in an 0-2 start. Ingram has rushed for 143 yards through two games and has three touchdowns. While he wasn't getting more snaps than Pierre Thomas, he was out-producing him. It's a big blow for the Saints rushing game. Khiry Robinson will likely be more of a factor in the running the ball now and is another RB to add, at least for the short term. Thomas should see more work in both running and passing games.
