The Jets welcomed wide receivers Jerricho Cotchery and Brad Smith back to practice Wednesday after the pair missed last Sunday's loss to the Buffalo Bills with hamstring and quadriceps injuries, respectively.
The news was not as favorable for cornerback Lito Sheppard, however. Sheppard started Sunday but could not finish the game as his quadriceps injury flared up, landing him on the sidelines.
Right tackle Damien Woody, who also played Sunday despite a knee injury, did not practice.
Coach Rex Ryan will likely shed more light on the condition of these players and more when he meets with the media later Wednesday.
