DraftKings Week 11 Values and Top Plays
Over the past few weeks, DraftKings’ pricing has been loose enough that you didn’t really need to punt any player or position. I think that’s a much more difficult task this week, as the cap has clearly gotten a lot tighter. If you pay up for an elite quarterback, it’s going to be challenging to fit more than one other top-tier player into your lineup.
If I were to play Peyton Manning and Matt Forte, for example, here’s the best lineup I could construct around that:
QB Peyton Manning
RB Matt Forte
RB Jeremy Hill
WR Keenan Allen
WR Kelvin Benjamin
WR Justin Hunter
TE Julius Thomas
FLEX Dwayne Allen
D Titans
In order to fit Julius Thomas in with that pair, I had to go cheap at every other position—the most inexpensive defense, three receivers priced between $3100 and $4900, and a cheap tight end in the flex spot.
The tighter pricing might be better for sharper players because it makes it more important to hit on low-priced players. I’m going to spend the majority of my research time this week identifying potentially high-upside cheap options who can give me cap relief. In a week in which the elite players are offering more value than usual, that’s not easy.

DraftKings Week 11 Value Plays
High QB: Peyton Manning, Denver at St. Louis, $9900
I think all of the top five quarterbacks are very much in play in cash games. You’ll need to decide which of Luck, Manning, Brady, Rodgers, or Brees you prefer, but give me the quarterback who has an easy matchup and accounts for an insanely high percentage of his team’s scores.
Note that playing Manning makes it more difficult to get an elite running back in your lineup (as opposed to playing Sanchez or even someone like Brees).
Low QB: Mark Sanchez, Philadelphia at Green Bay, $5800
To me, Sanchez is the only cheap quarterback consideration for Week 11. Note that DraftKings’ salaries came out on Monday, so they don’t account for what happened in the Panthers-Eagles Monday-night matchup. Because of that, Sanchez is underpriced and is worth a look in all league types.
