Eagles HC Andy Reid said Monday that RB Brian Westbrook should be able to practice this week after missing Sunday’s 40-17 trouncing of the Giants to continue his recovery from a concussion sustained last Monday night against the Redskins.
Westbrook did some aerobics over the weekend and woke up Saturday with a slight headache, prompting Reid to withold his two-time Pro Bowl running back from Sunday’s game. McCoy rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries - including a 66-yard TD run - and caught two passes for 10 yards, a very Westbrook-like effort.
“He did exercise. He’s going to exercise again today,” Reid said in his day-after press conference. “We’ll just see how he does here the closer we get to [practice on] Wednesday.”
