The Browns really have no choice in the matter. By switching to Johnny Manziel at quarterback this late in the season, there's no turning back.
After a terrible NFL debut that saw Manziel go 10-18 for 80 yards and two interceptions, Browns coach Mike Pettine announced that Manziel will remain the starting quarterback. At 7-7 and at fourth in the AFC North, reaching the playoffs will be extremely difficult at this stage anyway.
Manziel replaced Brian Hoyer, who was wildly ineffective over the past month. However, Hoyer never had a game as dreadful as Manziel's display this past Sunday, the story said. We considered Manziel a wild card heading into Week 15 and if you went with him it likely blew up your postseason run as it turns out. It would't be wise to trust him again but this week's matchup with Carolina is at least a little better in terms of fantasy as the Panthers are 12th in allowing fantasy points to QBs.
