Titans TE Delanie Walker has sprained ligaments in wrist, not ruling himself out for Week 2
Titans tight end Delanie Walker isn’t ruling himself out of Sunday’s game at Cleveland, but said "we'll just have to wait and see."
Walker suffered sprained ligaments on his right wrist during last Sunday’s win over Tampa Bay. He didn’t practice on Wednesday and was wearing a splint around the wrist.
“I’m getting better by the day,” he said. “Just being able to stay stable and block is the biggest concern, making sure I don’t set it back. I’d rather miss one week than miss three, though, so we’ll see what happens.”
This sounds more like a player who is preparing to miss a week than someone who is planning to play and be productive. Even if he does suit up, his ability to catch the ball may be limited by whatever brace he has on his wrist. We would recommend avoiding Walker this weekend, if possible.
