When it comes to DFS lineups, looking at matchups and opportunities will be key in constructing a winning lineup. Everyone knows that Calvin Johnson is an elite receiver, but that doesn’t necessarily make him a slam dunk starter every week in DFS (see: last week). Johnson is typically one of the most expensive WRs, but a WR with a cheaper price tag might be in a similar spot for production with a better match-up.
Each week, I’ll help you exploit specific defensive players and also touch on non-skill offensive players (read: the offensive line) to help you make the right choices on which players to roster and which players to fade.
Last week, we had some hits with Steve Smith, Sammy Watkins, James Jones, Carson Palmer and Tony Romo. There were some misses with Rueben Randle, Ryan Tannehill, Isaiah Crowell and Alshon Jeffery. So, let’s scrap last week into our memory dump (Inside/Out reference) and look ahead to Week 2.

Situations to Exploit in the Passing Game
Aaron Rodgers is going to be a point of contention in DFS this week with a match-up against the Seahawks. This Seahawks defense is completely different without safety Kam Chancellor manning the defensive backfield. Cornerback Richard Sherman was thrown at four times and allowed 29 yards, but Aaron Rodgers typically doesn’t throw his way. I can see Rodgers going deep to James Jones and targeting Chancellor's replacement, Dion Bailey, who the Rams torched for 57 yards and a touchdown. I think Rodgers makes a GREAT tournament play as many could be off of him because of the Seattle defense.
