Philadelphia lost a tough game to Washington on Sunday 23-20, and Eagles running back DeMarco Murray doesn’t understand why he wasn’t more involved.
Murray had 8 rushes for 36 yards in the game. Through three games this season, he has 47 yards rushing on 29 carries.
After the game, he spoke out: “Do I think I’m touching the ball [enough]?” he said. “No, I’m not. I don’t think I am. But it’s the plays that are being called. I love this offense. I love playing with these guys. It’s just how it is.”
It should be pointed out that Murray isn’t losing many touches to other running backs. The Eagles just didn’t run the ball much on Sunday. The team’s other running back, Ryan Mathews, only had 4 carries for 16 yards. The Eagles offense is a bit of a mess right now and Murray isn't a safe play as a result.
